Tourism Department, Govt. of West Bengal along with Indian Chamber of Commerce unveiled the grand potential of a new Buddhist Tourist Circuit in West Bengal at the ‘Travel India 2019’ meet held at Hotel Taj Bengal, Kolkata. Interestingly, Buddhism has deep roots in the history and culture of Bengal, and the lesser known Buddhist sites of this state can easily come on the global tourist map just like Sarnath, Lumbini and even Bodhgaya. Mogalmari of Paschim Midnapore remind us of a thriving Buddhist culture in this State. In this conference, I have presented the Mogolmari, an unique pilgrimage destination in West Bengal, on 15th February,2019. A "Knowledge Report" on measuring economic impact of extending 'Buddhist Tour Circuit' in India, case study of "Itkhori" And "Mogalmari" was also released on the occasion.
